To take place at the yard of Banyunibo Temple in Prambanan, the cooking festival on July 28 will be the first ever night cooking competition in Indonesia with the greatest prize, Sleman Tourism Office Chief Sudarningsih remarked here on Friday.
In the cooking competition with the tagline, "Feel the Sensation of Cooking Under the Starry Night Sky", the contestants will fight for a total prize of Rp50 million.
"This event provides a prize of Rp20 million for the first winner, Rp10 million for the second winner, Rp5 million for the third, and Rp3 million each for numerous favorite champion chosen by the audience," Sudarningsih said.
Just by paying a registration fee of Rp200 thousand per team, participants will join the Sleman Night Cooking Festival to produce their best cuisine.
A total of 90 teams will compete in the night cooking festival, and each team consists of five people who will be divided into the categories of general public, students, hotels, restaurants, and cafes.
The concept that is promoted in the Sleman Night Cooking Festival
is different from the conventional cooking competition, because it will prioritize the quality and taste of food and packaging of these dishes in order to have economic value.
The night cooking competition is intended to to support and enliven the event of "Sleman Tempele Run 2018" which was held on July 29, 2018 with start and finish at Banyunibo Prambanan Temple area.
Hence, all the Sleman Temple Run contenders, whether local, national or international will be invited to enjoy the sensation of this night`s cooking competition.
